Biopallo involved in CiNURGi project

CiNURGi's goal is to develop circular economy for nutrients in the Baltic Sea Region.

The CiNURGi project develops and promotes safe and sustainable nutrient recycling and assesses market opportunities and challenges, and maps nutrient recycling potential and existing standards. CiNURGi focuses on improving existing infrastructure and technology to maximise nutrient recovery from agricultural, municipal and industrial resource flows.

CiNURGi's priorities include:

• Developing standards for safe and sustainable nutrient recycling.

• Developing nutrient recycling strategies to improve regional nutrient balances.

• Promoting the general acceptability and use of recycled nutrients.

• Mapping business opportunities for nutrient recycling.

• Increasing the coherence of nutrient recycling policy in the Baltic Sea Region.

Project duration 11/2023-10/2026.
